Do-It-Yourself Renovations

As some might know, Husband and I have been throwing around the possibility of expanding our house by at least 2 feet for the past few months so I'm happy to announce that in early August of 2009, renovations will be complete! (For those of you who I might have lost, we're having a baby!) I am officially due August 4, 2009. Before you ask, we've chosen not to find out what we're having so if you have any old midwives tales on guessing the sex, please send them to me and I'll let you know the outcome. :) (Knock on wood) I've been feeling great, just a little tired, so hopefully I can make it through the first trimester without the morning sickness...keep your fingers crossed!
I'll be sure to keep you posted but have decided to keep the belly shots to myself for a while since my just-found-out-we're-preggo shots make me look a little like I'm already pregnant! What can I say, this girl likes to EAT!

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVERYONE!!

Sweaterfest Pictures

I know I promised actual pictures of Sweaterfest but there were so many good ones that I couldn't decide so I decided to send the link instead. To check out the pictures from all the Sweaterfests, go to www.sweaterfest.com and the password this year is "elves". (I'm the glittery one) Enjoy!

Fry it up!

Ever since I can remember, my family always had fried shrimp and potato soup for Christmas dinner (delicious!!). Well, this year Husband and I decided to shake things up a bit and are going to try our hand at frying a turkey since I got a free one from work and we didn't have turkey for Thanksgiving (Lance's 30th birthday so we went out to eat instead!) We picked up the fryer last night (found it on craigslist for a whopping $50.00) and I've been watching videos, one might call them bloopers, ever since to try and figure out how to create a delicious Christmas dinner all while keeping ourselves and the house fire-free! This will be interesting but have no fear, I will have the video camera in hand just in case we have one of those "America's Funniest Videos" moments!

On a separate note, I looked up the weather this morning and DALLAS was at 28 degrees but the kicker was that it felt like 16 when I got to work this morning!!!! WTF, Dallas, a windchill of 16? Unheard of!

Lastly, we had our annual Sweaterfest party last weekend and it was, as usual, an interesting medley of colors, smells from the Goodwill sweaters and drunken debauchery. I hope to have pictures posted shortly!

PS. I have not forgotten about the glitterama pics, I just need to load them on my computer.
